I have always loved the idea of blogs, and I really want to get one going for our family. I had an old one, but that was from a few years ago when I was really depressed about my life, and I felt the only time I would post was when I was mad about something, or just complaining. I struggled with it, and it has been so long since I made a post that I want to start completely fresh. What a perfect opportunity to start a whole new blog that will now include Dalton! I can't wait to start.
So far I am not sure what will be on my blog the most, but I have thought about the crafts I have made, or the cute things I like to sew, or my art work that I have been able to do through a few classes. A few of those types of things might pop up every once in a while. I have also heard of people getting paid to blog, so I will be looking into that very soon. I don't know how it works, but once I do, I will let you know.
I also love photography. I just got a new camera as a Christmas present, (which I didn't actually get until june because of finances) but I LOVE it! I have been experimenting with all the knobs and buttons, and I am getting better. Even professionals have to start at the bottom.
Jason has been in preschool lately, and some of his work he brings home has been wonderful. I plan to scan everything into my computer so I can have a electronic copy of everything for a memory book for each year of school, and I might decide to show a few on the blog as well. It just depends on my mood a the time.
I am also a pinterest addict. Yes. Hello, my name is Kelcie, and I am addicted to PINTEREST. It happens, but the first step is admittance, right? I would love to say I am getting better about it, but lets be honest. I'm not. I love looking for cute craft ideas, or yummy recipes, or how to get rid of nasty bugs in my garden...the list goes on and on. It is convenient to look something up (just like you would with google) but then you can pin it to your pinterest in case you ever need to find it again! So because of my addiction, I will be sharing my successes of the many projects I have in mind, as well as the failures that are bound to happen...just so you don't make the same ones!
I almost forgot! My Garden. OH sigh, my garden :) I have worked so hard on my garden this summer, and I love it! For my bridal shower this past march, I was fortunate to have a gardening theme, just in time for all the stores to start carrying garden supplies. Oh my heart! I was so excited to receive all the amazing gifts for my garden, that I wanted to start planting immediately! Too bad there was still snow on the ground, or else I would have! I have had my fair share of newbie mistakes over this summer, but I am proud to say that I have had a pretty good harvest! I still have vegetables growing from the plants, and I am trying to figure out what I can still plant for the fall season. I need to get on the ball quick before the frost comes. So my gardening adventures will surely make its way onto my blog.
Uh...I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but this is probably a good start. I will be getting started with more posts as things come up. Right now we are getting back into the school thing from the summer break, so routines are still a little messy. It will get better! Until next time, Cheers from the Checketts~
